Objective To analyze the trend of hand,foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Luxi County in the past 10 years and understand the epidemic characteristics. Methods According to the surveillance data of Infectious Disease Report Information Management System,descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the case information and pathogenic surveillance data of HFMD in Luxi County from 2009 to 2018. Results From 2009 to 2018,the annual reported incidence of HFMD in Luxi County was 383.97/100000,and the incidence level showed an upward trend (χ²_trend=3 675.626,P<0.001). Children under 5 years old accounted for 90.11% of the cases,of which the incidence of infants in the 1-year-old group was the most,accounting for 40.14%. HFMD was a periodic epidemic with a high incidence of 1-2 years every other year,and had the seasonal epidemic characteristic of "double peak" in March to July and September to November. The total positive rate of HFMD was 54.08%,in which the positive rate of severe cases was 100%,mainly EV71. The positive rate of aggregative cases and common cases were 75.00% and 49.71% respectively,mainly other enteroviruses and CoxA16. Conclusion The incidence of HFMD in Luxi County was on the rise,and comprehensive prevention and control measures should be taken to control the incidence of HFMD.
