Abstract

Objective To understand the occurrence rate and influencing factors of sleep disorders in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients,and to provide some theoretical basis for improving sleep quality and life quality of SLE patients. Methods The sleep quality of 158 SLE patients in the inpatient department and outpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University was investigated by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Inventory (PSQI). Results A total of 158 SLE patients were investigated.102 (64.6%) patients had sleep disorders.The prevalence of sleep disorders was different among SLE patients with different disease activity (χ²=5.688,P=0.017).The prevalence rate of sleep disorders was also different in SLE patients with different disease characteristics,especially those with arthritis (χ²=5.712,P=0.017) and lupus nephritis (χ²=6.305,P=0.012).In addition,different disease activity (P=0.002),with or without lupus nephritis (P= 0.044),with or without arthritis (P<0.001),and whether initial diagnosis (P=0.022) had significant effects on sleep disorders (PSQI) in SLE patients. Conclusion SLE patients have poor sleep quality and sleep disorders.
