Abstract

Vitamin D,also known as calcified sterol,is a fat soluble vitamin and steroid.Vitamin D has the biological functions of maintaining calcium and phosphorus homeostasis, and promoting bone mineralization.Maternal vitamin D level affects fetal vitamin D level, which has a certain impact on the growth and development of pregnant women and fetus as well as the nutritional status of adults.Vitamin D deficiency in pregnancy is related to preeclampsia, gestational diabetes and bacterial vaginosis, and increases the risk of caesarean section. The relationship between vitamin D level and growth and development of fetus is reflected in bone development, congenital rickets, anthropometric indicators (head circumference, chest circumference, birth weight, etc.) and other non-bone diseases. To study the effect of maternal vitamin D level and its anabolism on fetal development is of practical significance to meet the nutritional needs of pregnant women, guide the diet of pregnant women and improve the development of offspring.
