Objective To understand the death level and cause of death of permanent residents in Yu'an District,Lu’an city from 2014 to 2019. Methods Using the death monitoring data of permanent residents in Yu’an district from 2014 to 2019,the death level and cause of death were analyzed. Results The average six-year death rate of the permanent residents in Yu’an District was 642.19/100,000,and the standardized death rate was 556.64/100,000.The mortality rate of males was higher than that of females.The age distribution of overall mortality showed a decreasing trend first,followed by an overall increasing from 5 ~ years of group.The top five causes of death in the general population were malignant tumors,cerebrovascular diseases,heart disease,respiratory diseases and injuries;male was consistent with the general population,among female,heart disease ranked second,cerebrovascular disease ranked third,and the rest were consistent with the general population.The cause of death was different in different age groups (P＜0.001). Conclusion Malignant tumors,cerebrovascular diseases,heart diseases,respiratory diseases and injuries are the most important diseases affecting the health of the general population in Yu’an district and the leading causes of death vary by sex and age.
