Objective To analyze the incidence trend of hand foot mouth disease (HFMD) in Linying County from 2015 to 2019 and understand the epidemic characteristics of hand foot mouth disease. Methods The epidemic data of HFMD in Linying County from 2015 to 2019 were derived from the Chinese disease prevention and control information system.The data were processed by Excel and SPSS 24.0 software.The epidemic situation,epidemiological characteristics and pathogenic detection results of HFMD in Linying County in Henan Province in the past five years were analyzed by descriptive epidemiological method. Results From 2015 to 2019,951 cases of hand foot mouth disease were reported in Linying County.The annual incidence rate was 26.07/10 million.The incidence was typical in the whole year,and was high in May and November.The distribution was typical "bimodal".There was a great difference in the incidence among different villages and towns.The main age of onset was children under 5 years old,accounting for 96.53%.The incidence of infants aged 1-2 years old was the highest,accounting for 47.74%.The incidence rate of male is higher than that of female.Other enteroviruses gradually become the dominant strains of infection. Conclusion The incidence rate of HFMD in Linying County decreased year by year from 2015 to 2019.The prevention and control work should be focused on key periods (around May and November) and key groups (1-2-year-old infants).
