Abstract

Objective To investigate the resistance of Aedes albopictus to 3 commonly used insecticides in Baoshan District of Shanghai. Methods Larva immersion method was employed in the investigation.The lethal concentration (LC50),95% confidence interval,virulence regression line and resistance ratios of larvae were determined. Results The resistance ratios of Aedes albopictus to beta-cypermethrin,deltamethrin and propoxur were 85.6,53.3 and 14.3 times respectively in Baoshan District of Shanghai. Conclusion The larvae of Aedes albopictus in Baoshan District of Shanghai have high resistance to three commonly used insecticides,among which cypermethrin and deltamethrin are highly resistant.
