Objective To understand the awareness of AIDS knowledge and its influencing factors of AIDS among university students in Bengbu City,and to provide evidence for AIDS prevention and health education among university students in the future. Methods A simple random sampling method was used to sample university students in a university in Bengbu City.The general demographic information,AIDS prevention knowledge,behavior and attitude to AIDS of university students were investigated by online questionnaire.SPSS 21.0 software was used to conduct a single factor analysis of the factors influencing the awareness rate of AIDS knowledge among university students,and logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of AIDS knowledge. Results A total of 1238 university students were surveyed,and the awareness rate was 80.2%.Among them,the correct answer rate of the topic "Should I actively seek AIDS testing and counseling after high-risk behaviors (needle sharing,drug use,unsafe sex,etc.)?" was the highest,which was 94.5%,and the correct answer rate of the topic "Is the main mode of transmission of AIDS among young students in our country is male homosexuality?" was the lowest,which was only 46.3%.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that,compared with the School of Finance and Economics,the School of Management had a lower awareness rate of AIDS knowledge among university students."The school have student associations to promote AIDS prevention" (OR＝1.931,95%CI:1.411～2.644),"Participated in AIDS prevention activities organized by school associations" (OR＝1.829,95%CI:1.318～2.539) and knowledge derived from the internet (OR＝1.567,95%CI:1.024～2.400) were stimulative factors for university students to know AIDS knowledge. Conclusion University students have a relatively low level of awareness of the core knowledge of AIDS prevention and control.In the future,AIDS prevention and health education should be carried out in a multi-faceted and multi-dimensional manner in accordance with the characteristics of university students.
