Incidence analysis of other legal infectious diseases under the background of COVID-19 epidemic in Wuhu City

Abstract

Objective To analyze the incidence of other legal infectious diseases in Wuhu City during the epidemic period of COVID-19. Methods Descriptive analysis was used to compare the incidence of other legal infectious diseases in different stages of COVID-19 in 2020.Describe the changes in the incidence of other legal infectious diseases during the period of COVID-19 by the moving average analysis method in 2017 to 2019 year. Results The number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases in Wuhu City in 2020 decreased by 26.70% compared with that in 2019.The number of reported cases in 2020 was higher than that in the same period in 2019 in the early response period,and lower than that in the same period in 2019 in the first and second response periods and normalized prevention and control periods.The top ten legal infectious diseases decreased by 54.63% during the primary and secondary response period compared with the same period in 2019.Among them,hand-foot-and-mouth disease,influenza,hepatitis C and other infectious diarrhea reported decreased by more than 50%.Compared with the 5-days mobile average in 2017-2019 years,the incidence of influenza in 2020 was relatively low,and the epidemic peak of hand-foot-and-mouth disease did not appear in spring and summer,but the peak was obvious in autumn and winter,which became the main peak of hand-foot-and-mouth disease in that year.Except that the incidence of other infectious diarrhea during the primary and secondary response period was significantly lower than the previous level,the incidence level and change trend in the normalized prevention and control period were similar to those in the previous three years. Conclusion The COVID-19 prevention and control measures also play a certain role in the transmission of other infectious diseases,especially acute infectious diseases.Influenza and other infectious diseases similar to the transmission route of COVID-19 are more obvious.
