Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of newly reported HIV infected persons and patients (HIV/AIDS) in Xincai County from 2015 to 2020,and to provide scientific basis for the formulation of more targeted prevention and treatment strategies. Method The newly reported HIV/AIDS cases from 2015 to 2020 were analyzed by SPSS software. Results From 2015 to 2020,354 cases of HIV/AIDS were newly reported in Xincai County,of which 159 were HIV-infected,195 were AIDS patients,269 were males and 85 cases were females.Over 50 years old accounted for 52.82%.The occupation was mainly farmers,accounting for 75.42%,the education level was mainly junior high school and elementary school or below,accounting for 83.62%.Heterosexual transmission was the main transmission route,accounting for 81.92%,among which 37 cases (12.76%) were intramarital sexual transmission,and 253 cases (87.24%) were extramarital transmission.188 cases (53.11%) were found through voluntary consultation,and 97 cases (27.40%) were found through STD clinics and other other detection methods. Conclusion The current focus of HIV/AIDS prevention and control in Xincai County is to strengthen the discovery and management of heterosexual transmission of infection,and at the same time pay attention to the high-risk group of male homosexual transmission,reduce the occurrence of sexual transmission.
