Application of intelligent voice automatic call system in vaccination

Abstract

Objective To compare the differences in vaccination timeliness and vaccination pass rate between the use of intelligent voice automatic call system and the use of traditional reminder modes such as artificial telephone and SMS notification,so as to provide scientific basis for improving the efficiency of vaccination and reducing the workload of medical staff. Methods The intelligent voice automatic call system was connected with the vaccination information system.The cluster sampling method was used to collect vaccination data from January to August 2017 (before the use of the intelligent voice automatic call system) and from January to August 2019 (after the use of the intelligent voice automatic call system) at the Maternal and Child Health Care Center of Susong County,Anqing City.To compare the effects of different appointment methods for childhood vaccination on timely vaccination rates,pass rates,and days of delayed vaccination. Results The cumulative timely vaccination rate in 2019 was 58.93%,an increase of 9.45 percentage points compared with 2017,and the timely vaccination rate increased by 19.09%,with a statistically significant difference (χ2=365.649,P<0.001).The qualified vaccination rate in 2019 was 93.11%,an increase of 3.72 percentage points compared with 2017,and the qualified vaccination rate increased by 4.16%.The difference in qualified vaccination rate was statistically significant (χ2=175.194,P<0.001).The average delay in vaccination in 2019 was 78.16 d,which is 32.09 d (29.10%) less than in 2017. Conclusion The intelligent voice automatic call system has the advantages of low cost and convenient operation,which can improve the quality of vaccination for children of appropriate age.
