Objective To understand the characteristics and potential life loss analysis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease death among residents in Yunfu from 2017 to 2019,and to provide scientific basis for the formulation of chronic disease prevention and control interventions. Methods The average annual mortality rate,standardized mortality rate,Potential Year of Life lost (PYLL),potential life lost rate (PYLLR),average years of life lost (AYLL) and other indicators of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases were used for analysis.The death surveillance data of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in Yunfu City from 2017 to 2019 were analyzed using a descriptive epidemiological method. Results From 2017 to 2019,the average annual mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in Yunfu City was 266.11/100 000,the standardized mortality rate was 210.49 /100 000,accounting for 46.72% of all causes of death.The crude mortality rate and standardized mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in male were higher than those in female.The mortality rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases was rising rapidly in the aged people over 55 years old.The death of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases mainly concentrated in winter.The PYLL,PILLR and AYLL were 141 519 person-years,16.26% and 11.64 years,respectively. Conclusion The prevention and treatment of cardio-cerebral vascular diseases in Yunfu City should be focus on male and people over 55 years old.Targeted measures should be taken to effectively reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease and death during the winter when mortality rates are higher.
