Objective To analyze the incidence and death data of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events of registered residence residents in Sanyuan District and Yong'an City,two chronic disease demonstration areas,from 2016 to 2020,and explore the harm of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events to residents' health. Methods According to the monitoring data of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in two chronic disease demonstration areas in Sanming City from 2016 to 2020 and the death data in the Population Death Information Registration Management System,the morbidity and mortality of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events among residents were analyzed. Results The average annual incidence rate of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in the monitored population was 579.91/100 000,and the standardized incidence rate was 414.78/100 000.The incidence rate of acute events of coronary heart disease and stroke were 91.88/100 000 and 488.03/100 000,respectively,and the standardized incidence rate was 64.06/100 000 and 350.72/100 000,respectively.The annual average incidence rate of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events in male (incidence rate 692.22/100 000,standardized incidence rate 480.17/100 000) was higher than that in female (incidence rate 570.76/100 000,standardized incidence rate 341.02/100 000),and there was a statistically significant difference in the annual average incidence rate (χ2=542.059,P<0.001).The incidence rate of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events increased with age,and the incidence rate of people over 65 years old was the highest.The average annual mortality of acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events among the monitored population was 93.00 per 100 000,and the standardized mortality was 59.31 per 100 000,accounting for 15.53% of the total mortality. Conclusion Acute cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events have become an important public health problem in Sanming City.Stroke is the main disease,the male and the elderly over 65 years old are the key prevention and control population.Necessary comprehensive prevention and intervention measures should be taken.
