Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) in Lianyungang from 2015 to 2020,and to provide evidence for the prevention and control of HFMD. Methods To systematically analyze the data of HFMD in Lianyungang from 2015 to 2020 by descriptive research methods. Results From 2015 to 2020,a total of 29 896 HFMD cases were reported,with the annual incidence of 111.04/100 000.The highest annual incidence was in 2016 of 186.07/100 000,and the least was in 2020 of 53.09/100 000.The peak were in April-June and October-December.The male to female incidence rate was 1.54∶1.People under 5 years old accounted for 89.07% of the total cases.There were 1 944 laboratory tests,with a positive rate of 61.78%.The pathogen type CA16 accounted for 24.90%,type EV71 accounted for 30.14%,and other enteroviruses accounted for 44.96%. Conclusion HFMD is a common and frequently-occurring disease among children in Lianyungang,and the situation is still severe.
