Abstract

Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of foodborne diseases cases in Zhangzhou City from 2018 to 2022,and to provide a reference basis for precise prevention and control of foodborne diseases. Methods Collect surveillance data on foodborne diseases in Zhangzhou City from 2018 to 2022,describe the three-dimension distribution of foodborne diseases, and analyze the main suspicious exposed foods and their sources. Results A total of 37 162 cases of food-borne illness were reported in Zhangzhou City from 2018 to 2022,with a gender ratio of 0.90∶1.The high-risk age group was the 0-5 years old group (12.56%),the 26-30 years old group (8.22%),and the 31-35 years old group (8.21%).The occupational distribution dominated by farmers (41.18%),and the peak incidence was concentrated from July to September. The main symptoms were diarrhea and abdominal pain. The pathogenic foods were mainly aquatic animals and products (20.61%),meat and meat products (15.34%).Suspected exposed foods were mainly processed and packaged at home (53.56%),and the main food sources were retail/farmer’s market (45.49%).
