Objective To understand the current status of the system construction of disease control and prevention institutions in Fujian Province,so as to provide data support for improving the system construction of disease control and prevention institutions in the province. Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted on the basic information,personnel,financial situation,facilities and equipment,and testing capabilities of 94 disease control and prevention institutions across the province (including provincial,municipal,and county-level institutions).SPSS 22.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results In 2022,all the 94 disease control and prevention institutions in Fujian Province were public welfare first class public institutions,with a total of 6 379 staffing units.The actual utilization rate of staffing units was 71.27%.In 2022,4 426 professional and technical staff positions,1 833 positions for public health physicians,and 1 064 positions for deputy senior and above titles were set up in Fujian Province's disease control and prevention institutions,representing an increase of 15.50%,8.21%,and 16.16%,compared with 2020.Compared with 2020,the financial investment of disease control and prevention institutions in Fujian Province increased by 23.83% and social service revenue increased by 77.57% in 2022.There were 406 P2 laboratories in the province,including 40 provincial-level institutions,accounting for 9.85%,88 municipal-level institutions,accounting for 21.67%,and 278 county (city,district)-level institutions,accounting for 68.47%. Conclusion The construction of the disease control and prevention institution system in Fujian Province has achieved certain results.However,there are still regional development imbalances.
