Objective To analyze the prevalence and influencing factors of chronic diseases among residents of a community in Suzhou City,and to provide a basis for the comprehensive management and prevention of chronic diseases in the community. Methods A total of 788 residents from 202 households in a community in Suzhou City were sampled using the whole cluster random sampling method.Questionnaire surveys,physical measurements,and laboratory tests were carried out to calculate the prevalence of chronic diseases and other indicators.SPSS 26.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results The prevalence rate of chronic diseases in a community in Suzhou City was 36.55%,and the top five were hypertension (32.49%),diabetes (7.87%),dyslipidemia (6.47%),coronary heart disease (2.03%),and stroke (1.90%).The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that 60-79 years old (OR=24.409,95%CI: 8.503-70.073),≥80 years old (OR=45.889,95%CI:12.550-167.780),family history of chronic diseases (OR=6.545,95%CI:4.205-10.189),overweight or obesity (OR=1.811,95%CI:1.205-2.723) were influencing factors for the prevalence of chronic diseases. Conclusion The prevalence of chronic diseases among residents in this community is high,and the focus should be on high-risk groups such as those aged 60-79 or ≥80,with family history of chronic diseases,overweight and obesity,etc.The comprehensive management and prevention of chronic diseases in the community should be strengthened to prevent the occurrence and development of chronic diseases.
