Objective To analyze the situation of registration, discovery and treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in Anhui province in 2014, so as to provide scientific reference for tuberculosis prevention and treatment. Methods Data from "Information management system of infectious disease surveillance and report" , "Tuberculosis management information system" and relevant reports of Anhui in 2014 were collected and analyzed. Results The newly registered rate of active TB patients was 106.45%, cure rate of new smear-positive patients was 91.23%, follow-up tracking rate of patients with suspected pulmonary tuberculosis from non tubercular institutions was 98.89%, and total qualified rate was 93.74%,which all kept at a high level. However, the detection rate of new smear positive tuberculosis cases decreased by 8.13% over the previous year. Conclusion The prevention and treatment of tuberculosis has not been affected by the implementation of the new model of tuberculosis prevention and control, however, hospital sputum examination should be strengthened to increase detection rate of new smear positive tuberculosis cases.
