Objective To understand the microbial contamination of foods in Chizhou city, and provide scientific basis for food borne diseases prevention and control. Methods The food samples were collected and detected according to the GB standard. Results A total of 215 food samples were tested, and 29 strains of pathogenic bacteria were detected with positive rate of 13.49%. The positive rate of diarrheagenic escherichia coli was 19.57%, staphylococcus aureus was 6.11%, listeria monocytogenes was 4.32%, Salmonella was 1.40% and Vibrio parahaemolyticus was 0.
