Objective To evaluate the epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestation of SARI cases in a sentinel hospital in Changsha,and provide evidence for disease prevention and control. Methods Nucleic acid of Flu, RSV, AdV, HRV, PIV HMPV, HBoV, and CoV were detected from throat swab collected from SARI cases, and the clinic and epidemiology character was analyzed. Result A total of 534 cases were collected mainly from pediatrics, respiratory and ICU departments from 2014 to 2015. The positive rate of respiratory virus was 39.13%.The Flu, RSV, AdV, HRV, PIV HMPV, HBoV, and CoV were detected within two years. The infection rate of males was higher than that of females (χ2=55.87,P<0.05) Conclusion The SARI surveillance program is helpful to prevent and cure the respiratory tract infection.
