Objective To study the hygiene status of drinking water quality and its influencing factors in rural areas of Guoyang county in Anhui province between 2012-2014. Methods The water sample was collected, preserved and detected according to the "Standard testing methods for drinking water" (GB5750 - 2006),and was evaluated in accordance with the "Drinking water health standards"(GB5749-2006). Results The qualified rates of water samples were 0.5%, 2.5% and 2.5% respectively from 2012 to 2014. There was no significant difference between the qualified rates of water samples from different years. The unqualified items was fluoride, turbidity value, Cfu, total hardness and total dissolved solids(TDS). Conclusion The qualified rate of drinking water was low in Guoyang county,and the primary cause was excessive fluoride.
