Abstract

Objective To identify the pathogen outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis in a middle school of Anqing city, and further sequencing of partial gene sequences was used to determine the gene subtype. Methods 13 anal swabs and 3 drinking water samples were detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR method for detection of norovirus type GI/GII. The sequence of positive strains nucleic acid VP1 region were amplified, sequenced and compared with the gene database, and the phylogenetic tree was constructed by MAGA5.0 software. Results In the 13 samples, 6 samples belonged to type GI.3, 7 belonged to GII.17 type. 3 copies of drinking water samples were detected by GI.3 and GII.17. Conclusion The epidemic was caused by norovirus GI.3 and GII.17 genotypes.
