Objective To understand the sexual behavior, HIV self-test intention and its influencing factors, and HIV self test reagent usage among the men who had sex with men (MSM). Methods From May 2016 to February 2017, QQ group, WeChat group and Blued were released to investigate information. QQ's direct investigation and Wenjuanxing self-test questionnaire were used to investigate MSM's sexual behavior and HIV self-test intention. Results Of the 385 MSM, 4.94% (19/385) subjects reported HIV infection. 334 MSM were willing to use self-test reagents for HIV testing. The use of self-test reagents was influenced by educational level(χ2=7.98,P=0.046), number of female partners (χ2=41.63,P=0.000)and number of sexual partners with Money Boy (MB) (χ2=7.33,P=0.03)(These analyses were not involved in the text). 47.01% (181/385) had never been detected by HIV, 11.16% of MSM had never used condoms in the last 3 months and homosexual partners, and 18.18% (70/385) of MSM had sex with women in the last 3 months, of which 48.57% did not use condoms. Conclusion We should actively promote the rapid self-examination of HIV and strengthen the construction of VCT outpatient service in hospital so as to meet the needs of MSM for HIV detection service. At the same time, we should strengthen the propaganda of HIV prevention and health education,and improve the awareness rate and testing knowledge,for expanding the coverage of HIV testing among MSM population.
