Objective To understand the feeding status of 0-2 years old infants in Wuhu City. Methods 11 community health service centers in 2 counties and 2 districts of Wuhu City were randomly selected.And the feeding situation of 1,085 infants who came to the health service centers for physical examination from January to December 2015 was investigated. Results The early feeding rate of Wuhu City was 31.24%, the exclusive breastfeeding rate of infants under 6 months was 58.61%, and the artificial feeding rate was 6.91%.The weaning rate of infants under 6 months old was 33% and that of infants under 12 months old was 81.75%.The artificial feeding rate in rural areas was higher than that in urban areas, and the difference was statistically significant(χ²=21.433,P<0.001).Those who added supplementary foods before 4 months old accounted for 6.3%, those who added supplementary foods in 4-6 months old accounted for 4.38%, and those who added supplementary foods in 6-23 months old accounted for 89.32%.The supplementary feeding time difference between urban and rural infants was statistically significant(χ²=10.399,P<0.05).The frequency of taking vitamin D in one week showed significant difference between urban and rural infants(χ²=67.915,P<0.01).The proportion of infants taking vitamin D daily was the highest, reaching 52.90%.12.26% infants only took vitamin D 2-3 days a week.The difference between urban and rural infants taking vitamin D had statistical significance.(χ²=112.874,P<0.001). Conclusion In the 0-2 years old infants surveyed, the breastfeeding rate was low, and the urban infants’ food supplements were added too early, and the vitamin D supplementation of rural infants was not timely.
