Objective To explore the possibility of examining infectious disease information with R language. Methods According to the audit requirements of Infectious Disease Information Report Management Specification (2015 version) and National Technical Guide for Infectious Disease Information Report Management (2016 version), R language codes were compiled.R software was used to automatically audit the information of infectious disease report card in "infectious disease report information management system". Results By using R language to write automatic audit software, 11 items of infectious disease report information were automatically audited.The daily single audit time of the R software was only 6 seconds, which could save more than 1600 person hours, or 200 working days, for the annual cumulative infectious disease report information audit of the whole city. The audit results were accurate and visual.R audit method could be used off the network, with safe and stable performance. Conclusion The software designed by R language realized the automation of information audit of infectious disease report and improved the audit quality and efficiency.
